Cowboy

Weapon Proficiency: A cowboy receives martial proficiency in daggers, hand axes, revolvers (but not pistols), shotguns, and repeaters (but not rifles).

Rancher (Ex): The cowboy adds half his class level (minimum 1) to all Handle Animal checks when interacting with horses and herd animals and to all Ride checks when wearing light or no armor.

Enforcer Training (Ex): Half of a cowboy’s levels in classes other than enforcer count as enforcer levels for the purpose of qualifying for feats.

Bonus Feats: As a cowboy advances in level, he gains a number of bonus feats. He gains his first feat at 3rd level, and gains additional feats at 7th, 11th, 15th, and 19th level. These bonus feats must be either combat, critical, or grit feats.

Cowboy Talents: As a cowboy advances in level, he gains cowboy talents selected from the list below. He gains his first cowboy talent at 5th level, and gains additional cowboy talents at 9th, 13th, and 17th level. Also, whenever a cowboy gains a talent choice from his base class, he can choose one of these cowboy talents instead.

Drifter (Ex): The cowboy gains the service of a loyal and trusty steed to carry him into battle. This mount functions as a druid’s animal companion, using the cowboy’s level as his effective druid level.

At 5th level he is limited to a Horse companion, but starting at 7th level he adds Bighorner, Radstag, Mantis, Radscorpion, and Lynx/Bobcat to his list of available animals.

Should a cowboy’s mount die, the cowboy may find another mount to serve him by spending 24 hours interacting with an suitable animal whose disposition is Friendly or Helpful. At the end of the 24 hour period the animal accepts the cowboy as its new master.

Gunslinger (Ex): The cowboy gains all 1st level gunslinge deeds, as well as a daily pool of grit points equal to his Wisdom or Charisma modifier (once chosen this cannot be changed). This grit cannot be restored by any means other than a full night’s sleep.

Gunslinger Deed(Ex): The cowboy learns one gunslinger deed for which she is high enough level to know. The cowboy must have the Gunslinger talent to learn this talent.

Have Gun (Ex): The cowboy gains exotic proficiency in either all revolvers, all shotguns, or all repeaters. This talent can be taken multiple times, and each time it applies to a different set of firearms.

Home on the Range (Ex): The cowboy no longer suffers fatigue from lack of comfortable bedding, such as when sleeping in the wilderness without a bedroll. Additionally, she may add her Rancher bonus to Survival checks.
